Biography

Tatyana Swift is a registered architect who collaborates with clients to create thoughtful and inspiring architecture.  Her work is distinguished by sculptural finesse and a careful mix of light, material and color. Sustainability, smart technologies and innovative solutions feature prominently in many of her designs. She introduces value-engineering from the early stages of the design process to provide clients with efficient, cost-effective solutions. 

Prior to entering private practice, Tatyana worked for the Smithsonian Institution on SI-wide Sustainability Project. At Smithsonian, she initiated 2018 Waste Reduction and Recycling Program, and envisioned “One Smithsonian — One Sustainable” campaign aimed at raising funds and spreading awareness. Tatyana also worked on implementing Energy Optimization and Greenhouse Gas (“GhG”) reduction measures as part of SI’s Sustainability Project.

Tatyana’s practice encompasses residential and hospitality design, as well as retail, branding and light commercial projects.  She previously worked with accomplished architectural firms in the greater Washington metropolitan area.  Notable examples include Architects Collaborative Incorporated (ACI – High-rise Residential Design & Hospitality,) Richard Leggin Architects (Residential,) and CBA Architects (Retail.) 

Tatyana holds Master of Architecture (M. Arch), a B.S. in Business Management, and a LEED AP certification in Building Design and Construction.  She is also a graduate of Johns Hopkins University’s BLocal BUILD College, which provides specialized professional training for emerging business leaders in the design and construction industries.  In addition to her architectural design work, Tatyana was also a two-time Webby Awards Honoree and received two Davey and three W3 awards from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts for branding design and marketing.
